June 19th 2010: 2G2 Soccer Event The first 2G2 soccer event took place saturday June 19th at Dorset parc in Baie d'Urfe. 5 teams participated in the day long event that raised 1000$ for the 60 million girls Foundation. Despite the rain late in the day, this first soccer event was a hit with all who participated. Thank you to all who helped make this event such a success. What more could we ask for? We had a wonderful day full of soccer, food and energetic people!! March 7th 2010: Jello Martini Lounge celebrates International Women's Day What a great night with live performances by Annie Becker and Soulvation! We danced the night away and enjoyed our martinis as we raised funds for the 60 million girls foundation in style. We had great raffle prizes (hockey tickets, bottle service, night at a hotel, Mont-Tremblant ski pass and more!) and happy winners. Thanks to everyone who came out! January 17th 2010: “Party with 60 million girls” Our second “Party with 60 million girls” event was held on Sunday January 17th at McKibbins downtown, was a great evening! We were able to raise 1300$ for the 60 million girls foundation through ticket sales, Travelling T-shirt sales and a 50/50 raffle! Thank you to everyone who made this event a night to remember! November 17th 2009: Kiosk and presentation at the 60 million girls foundation annual conference A new version of the Travelling T-Shirt was sold this year for 20$/shirt. New this year, 60 million girls eco-friendly tote bags were also on sale for 8$/bag (3 for 20$). Guests were also able to see a slideshow of pictures of our Travelling T-shirt from around the world. Finally, Vida Fereydoonzad gave an amazing presentation about 2G2 and our fundraising activities. McKibbins May 26th 2009: “Party with 60 million girls” McKibbins Irish Pub (rue Bishop) graciously provided the 2nd floor and a free drink to guests who bought tickets from 2G2. For 5$ a person, everyone was guaranteed an awesome night! Music, dancing, drinking and a spontaneous dating game made it unforgettable. The event was sold out at 275 tickets and over 1,800$ was raised for the 60 million girls foundation. October 22nd 2008: Kiosk at the 60 million girls foundation annual conference Fair trade organic cotton t-shirts bearing the 60 million girls message were sold at 20$/shirt. (Proceeds from our t-shirt sales total over 2,000$ to date.) We spent the evening talking to guests about our group and showing them just what students can do! Check out our Travelling Shirt!
