*** THE ELECTRONIC AUCTION IS NOW CLOSED *** This electronic auction is open to all and will end on October 19, 2008 at 6 p.m. The bids will continue from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22 at École polytechnique, part of University of Montreal, at the annual fundraising conference and Dr. Sima Samar's speech. We will announce the winners at the end of the event, at approximately 9 p.m. For winners not present in the room, 60 million girls will contact them in the week following the event. Every auction item are donations. All revenue generated by the auction will contribute directly to support our 2009 projects in Afghanistan and the refugee camps of Dadaab and Kakuma in Kenya. These projects will enable close to 2,000 young girls to go to school, provide high school bursaries and support training of women teachers. Please refer to the terms and conditions for more details on the silent auction. Amongst others, it is important to know that there is a starting bid as well as a minimum bid increments of $25 to be respected. Please note that you must purchase a ticket in advance if you intend to attend the October 22 event. You can place your bid electronically by clicking "Place Bid". This will create an automatic e-mail. Simply indicate the amount you wish to bid and click on "Send" to formalize your bid. We will confirm reception of your e-mail and will inform you on the highest bid of the day. |
