Jeanette Arsenault

Canadian author, composer and musician Jeanette Arsenault was so touched by the mandate of 60 million girls that she has dedicated a song to the foundation. The lyrics of her song, entitled Secret Dreams, truly reflect our mission and so we are thrilled by this wonderful gift.

Jeanette Arsenault is an artist of Acadian descent whose career achievements include the song that represented the Canadian Olympic team during the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. In 2002 she was also named Citizen of the Year in the county of PEI where she lives and her music is often heard during rallies and concerts where funds are raised for humanitarian causes.

Jeanette describes in a few lines her enthusiasm for the Foundation:

"I was so inspired by the important work being done by the committee of caring and committed volunteers of 60 million girls that I just had to write this song to help promote their worthy cause. I truly believe that educating and empowering girls are the key to changing the world we live in."

It seems the paths of 60 million girls and Jeanette were bound to cross.

We are very grateful to Jeanette for partnering with us and making such a wonderful gesture to support access to education for girls and young women. We thank her from the bottom of our hearts for her immense generosity.
