SILENT AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • The electronic auction starts on October 8 on the 60 million girls web site and will end on October 19 at 6 p.m. The bids will continue from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22 at École polytechnique, where the annual fundraising conference of the foundation will take place. We will announce the winners at 9:00 p.m., right after Dr. Samar's speech.
  • A bid is a buying promise. Once submitted, no bid can be removed.
  • Each item has a starting bid and a minimum bid increments of $25 that must be respected.
  • The web site will be updated daily with the highest bid of the day. If your bid is surpassed, you can increase your bid on the same item as often as you want.
  • If you and another bidder placed the same bid amount, the earlier bid takes priority.
  • All items will be sold to the highest bidder.
  • 60 million girls has endeavoured to catalogue and describe the items and services as accurately as possible; however, everything is sold "as is". 60 million girls cannot be held responsible for any implied representations or warranties whatsoever.
  • All sales are final. No exchange, credit or reimbursement will be allowed.
  • If at the closing of the auction, two or more parties are bidding for one item, they will be given the opportunity to make a final offer; the highest bidder receives the item.
  • In case of a misunderstanding, 60 million girls will have final authority and will determine the winning bid. The decision will be final.
  • Once winners are announced at the end of the October 22 event, each winner in the audience must go to the auction table to pick up their prize and finalize the payment.
  • If some of the winners are not in the room, we will communicate with them to finalize the transaction.
  • Terms of payment are cash, cheque or VISA. Debit cards and other credit cards cannot be accepted.
