Wanda Bedard receives the Montreal YWCA's 2008 Women of Distinction Award

60 million girls is pleased to announce that the Montreal YWCA's 2008 Women of Distinction award, in the category Community Service, has been awarded to our president Wanda Bedard. We are greatly honored to have the work of our foundation highlighted in this way and to see Wanda join this group of outstanding Québec women recognized for extraordinary contributions in all spheres of life.

The winners were named on September 24th during the 15th annual gala, which was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Several members of our executive committee also attended the gala to support Wanda during this unforgetable evening.

The Montreal YWCA has been an outstanding partner of 60 million girls since its inception by providing guidance, contacts, meeting rooms and areas for our mini-conferences. We wish to thank the staff and Madame Claudette Demers Godley for their much appreciated and continued support.
